Ultimate Introduction From The Ultimate Masters Got the book today, and read it in one go. Felt like I was in a seminar with Dr Bandler, again.Initially, I did not like the format too much: it felt a bit patronising, as this is a narrative about “joe” attending an NLP training with Richard Bandler. You get to read what Joe thinks, what do other participants tell him, and transcripts of Dr Bandler talks.Yet soon I have just decided to let my own preferences go, for good, and stopped thinking about how this book SHOULD have been written. So here it is – a very simple, straightforward introduction to NLP with excellent examples, history, analogies and metaphors. “Ultimate”because the story, and the themes run ahead of the reader’s questions, and takes care to answer them all in a very friendly way. I like the format, the length of explanations and the story. There are some excellent new techniques and examples- even for seasoned NLP guys.Thanks. Is will be the best introduction I can hand out to my students and other friends.Ultimate thanks, that is 😉

NLP explained in a Memorable, Humorous and Engaging way I’ve been reading the latest book on NLP, penned in part by the co-founder of NLP, Dr Richard Bandler. The book is called The Ultimate Introduction NLP and is sub-titled How to Build a Successful Life. It is co-authored by NLP Master Trainers Owen Fitzpatrick and Alessio Roberti. This is an interesting book that has an unusual structure. It uses the story of one man’s personal change and discovery to help readers understand the principles of NLP.It’s the story of a man named Joe who attends a one-day introductory course given by Dr Bandler. Joe joins the other participants who are attending the course and learns with them how to apply the techniques in their personal and professional lives. When you read the book you too become a participant on the course, in that you see what the others see, hear what they hear and learn what they learn. Dr Bandler’s lectures are interspersed with the observations, thoughts and insights of Joe and the other participants.Dr Bandler explains NLP in a memorable, humorous and engaging manner. I’ve read a lot of his work but I found some original material in this book. His way of teaching is direct and very accessible, making what can seem like difficult concepts easy to absorb and put into practice.Among the techniques covered in this book are:* Getting rid of bad memories* Triggering a positive feeling with the skill of anchoring* Amplifying positive feelings* Eliminating negative feelings* Building a better futureYou will also learn about the power of non-verbal communication and how to ask powerful questions. But, above all, you will get useful insights into getting over the things that may be holding you back – phobias, bad habits, learning disorders and other drawbacks.

Without a doubt the best book on NLP for a beginner I loved this book. I’ve read a lot of NLP books and this book gives you the best insight into the beginning steps of NLP and how you can get started. In fact helped me understand much better many of the steps other books tried to convey. The story is very helpful and is always a step ahead in giving you answers to the questions that pop into your mind while reading. The format is also very helpful in that you really want to finish the book quickly and in the back there are exercises you can do yourself or with a partner. The format feels like a workshop in a book.Without a doubt the best book on NLP for a beginner that I’ve read and a book that helps you make sense of other books on the subject.Jon BjarnasonThe Learning Boss
